Great American Bike/Trike Giveaway A team building program that not only makes better workers but also brings joy to children! Now that’s a program with tangible results! Working in teams your group builds bicycles and/or tricycles (depending on the age of the children). It's fun and it improves soft skills. But this team building program goes beyond boosting morale and improving team work within your group. Other benefits include: an increased connection to the community

advancement of communication and cooperation
and it will infuse your conference, meeting or retreat with an amazing energy and a greater
sense of meaning.
You may donate the bikes and trikes you build to any needy organization such as the Boys and Girls Club,
Bikes for Tykes or another charity of your choice. Our Recommendation:The Ant & the Grasshopper is happy to work with any philanthropic organization you prefer and we will facilitate the building of bikes/trikes for children of all ages. We would, however, like to bring one issue to your attention. Bike building has become very popular as of late and the trend seems to be that groups prefer to build the small bikes and trikes for the younger children (ages 3 - 8). Now while organizations are thrilled to accept these bikes they have advised us that very few bikes have been donated for the children ages 9 - 16. The needs of these children are great and their joy just as infectious as the young ones'. We recently discovered this for ourselves when we facilitated a bike building program in the British Virgin Islands (see photo below). The bikes were donated to the Rainbow Children's Home, a shelter for abused children ages 9 and older. The children were absolutely thrilled with their new mountain bikes and their spirits soared when they climbed aboard for their first ride! The Social Development Department of BVI thanks the Young Presidents Organization of the Chicago Area, for their generous donation.
