The Derd Show
is a multi-media comedy that uses sound effects, music and physical comedy to communicate its story. The absence
of spoken word makes this an excellent show for multi-national or multi-cultural groups who may have audience members whose first language isn't
English.
At the center of the show is the character of Barney William Derd, otherwise known as B. Will Derd. The
sketches follow Derd as he makes his way through life, facing challenges and doing the best he can to
advance in his career and be liked by his fellows.
Using only minimal sets the Derd Show uses video, improv and sketches all tied together by a sound artist playing live music
and sound effects as the actors do their thing on stage. If your venue supports it, we also add stage lighting for a
truly professional production!
Whether your time slot is thirty minutes or two hours the Derd Show is for you. Any size audience from
a few dozen to many hundreds can be accommodated. If you're gathering far-flung team members for
